working in different environments…this weekend I chose Whole Foods on Houston as my temporary studio – loving a change of view from my regular  live/work space.   It’s cold – so my choice spaces where to work remain indoors. WF  was wide open and fresh to work in a new space.  I carried porfolio sized materials easily fitting in a corner of one of tables and concentrated there for hours – in between food ;  Jacqueline, who was there doing her paperwork,  came over to ask what  I was doing. She delighted in the work, saying it was all light and shadow and loved the assymetry in shapes and cuts in the drawings, and had never seen anything like it.   She was so excited she began giving me framing and marketing ideas.  it was so encouraging!  Several pieces are in the works,  so I’ll show you something else here.;)

MY  lo-tech,  hands-on, mixed media relatively inexpensive small works on paper, balloons, latex gloves with threaded texts,  entitled STOP HOLDING YOUR BREATH  have been on etsy and FB since December 2009.
